The Pub
The Loddiswell Inn closed in Spring 2023, leaving the village of Loddiswell, which once had three pubs, with none. The pub has now been named an Asset of Community Value which gives us time to secure funding to buy and completely refurbish the pub.
About Us
We are the steering committee of The Loddiswell Community Pub Group Ltd, a Community Benefit Society set up by a group of villagers who are passionate about working with the local community to buy and reopen the pub.
Our Vision
When the pub closed in the Spring of 2023, Roger Pinder, a previous landlord of The Loddiswell Inn, called a village meeting to gauge support to save the pub. His aim, to buy the pub as a village and run it as a community hub.
Our Plan
The Loddiswell Community Pub Group Ltd aims to purchase the freehold of the pub and turn it to a community hub. Behind the scenes we are preparing to launch a share offer which will offer supporters the opportunity to buy shares in the pub, thereby raising the capital required to purchase the pub, and also enabling us to apply for match funding which we will need to completely refurbish the building.
